Coundon Hall was still muddy but not as bad as normal. the weather cold but not windy, typical mid January stuff.
Becky Sanders, already a major influence on the fortunes of Birchfield Harriers, once again made her mark in a race much stronger in quality than the counties race a week previously, without losing form at all during the race she finished 9thCath Mijovic, In fine form at the moment renewed her friendly rivalry with Sue Wint from Coventry and although suffering the indignity of having to retie a lace only finished a gnats whisker behind her in 27th place.
Faye Manger, terrific attitude, always seems happy and running consistently well now, closed the scoring in 27th place.
Michelle Tanner, new lady coached by the very experienced Phil Smith, though running at Senneleys earlier in the season, made her proper debut today after getting a debilitating dose of winter flue. Finished in 52nd place, smiling! (obviously that's got to stop we can't have people enjoying themselves!)
