Double National Victory for Jade Surman at Bedford

Heptathlete Jade Surman (Birchfield) won a high quality Under 20 Women's long jump with a legal 6.27 metres leap (wind: +0.8) at Bedford on Sunday from Jade Nimmo (Falkirk Victoria Harriers), whose 6.14m (+1.0) was also beyond the Euro Juniors qualifying standard.

The versatile Surman also won the Under 20 Women's 100m hurdles final in 13.77 seconds, three-hundredths inside the Euro Juniors standard.
