Race 3, Centurion 5 Mile, 2nd January 2005

Handicap 2

The wind and the New Year took it’s toll and the handicap times were a little slower than last month. However, true to handicaps, a new winner emerged.

Julian, normally a race walker, was the only runner to get a faster time in this month’s race and he was rewarded with the handicap win. Mike, who missed last month’s race, managed to get within 30 seconds of his time of two months ago, which was better than a lot of his colleagues and he took second place. Third was another walker, David, who was within 40 seconds of his previous time two months ago.

The time allowances for the next race in February are printed in the last column, so I expect to see you all turning out plus a few more. Don’t forget, entries to Barry Roberts please. You can enter on the day but please let us know first so you can be included fully in our competition.
