Race 4, Centurion 5 Mile, 6th February 2005, Handicap 3
Prior to this race we had 22 members who had competed one or more of the previous three races in this series. Therefore it was somewhat of a disappointment to find that only 7 runners in this third handicap race, GP4. It was a bit of an experiment to introduce these handicaps into the GP Series and it has thrown up three different winners, Alex in this first, Julian in the second and Lynette in the third race. The Road Running Sub-Committee will welcome some feedback on these handicaps. Do you want them next year? Can we improve them? Were you happy with the races chosen for the handicaps? Any comments? Anything???!!! Please let me know and I will see to it that your comments are passed on.
Remember, our
three winners have earned an award under the rules this year. These will be presented at a gathering
after the GP has finished either October or November. Watch out for details.
